Description

Refine how you refine with expert Professional Scrum Trainers. Have you ever left a training course excited to implement the things you have learned, only to be met with resistance or more questions on how to apply the concepts? In this workshop we take classroom concepts and apply them to your actual Product Backlog.

We’ve observed that product backlog refinement remains a mystery for many Scrum teams and we want to help you solve that mystery. This workshop is practical, not just conceptual. You will leave with a transformed Product Backlog.

• Right-sizing techniques
• Crafting impact and outcome based Product Goals
• Clearly expressing Product Backlog Items for shared understanding
• Ordering techniques
• Clarifying and defining your team’s workflow
• How to build a forecast with confidence intervals

Target Audience

This workshop is ideal for a Product Owner and team members or representatives. The workshop can accommodate 1 to 15 people working from the same Product Backlog. This is not a course with generic concepts but a workshop in which we will be guiding you as you make changes to your actual Product Backlog.

Chad Beier

Jeff Bubolz

Jeff is a Professional Scrum Trainer (PST) with Scrum.org, organizational agility advisor, and speaker. He has been a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development Team member and has worked with companies ranging from enterprise to small start-ups.

While working with many teams across many companies Jeff has found that most problems are not technology problems, but are organizational structure, process, and people problems. Jeff brings storytelling, a broad array of experience, along with a collaborative approach to teaching and speaking. 

Jeff takes a practical approach to teaching and coaching organizations how to respond to change and gain organizational agility. He loves teaching and using Scrum, but uses many other tools in the agile toolbox when the situation calls for it.
